Sagar Pur to the World of Fashion

Summaira Hassan is an emerging designer redefining contemporary style with a distinct artistic voice. Raised in the serene village of Sagar Pur near Narowal, a district in eastren Punjab, Pakistan, her creative sensibility was shaped by nature, color, and rural narratives, while her earliest training came from her grandmothers, who migrated from Rajasthan to Pakistan carrying traditional crafts such as gota patti, shisha (mirror work), and intricate hand embroidery. Alongside her Computer Science studies, she continued to nurture and develop these skills, eventually moving to pursue formal fashion education at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), graduating in 2017. Since then, she has built a design identity that spans bridal, casual wear, gowns, wrap dresses and abayas—each piece reflecting elegance, storytelling, and a deep connection to heritage and memory.

Design Philosophy

Rooted in art, nature, and imagination, Summaira Hassan’s design philosophy draws inspiration from childhood fairy tales, where dreams were envisioned through fairies, flowers, butterflies, mushrooms, and the soft tones of dusk and dawn. Her debut girls’ collection reflected this vision, with silhouettes inspired by nature and color palettes taken from the organic world that shaped her early life. Today, as the creative force behind her own fashion label, she continues to blend heritage, artistry, and modern aesthetics across women’s, children’s, and wrap dresses, along with bridal, party, and casual wear collections—each piece expressing individuality, imagination, and a journey that began in a quiet village and continues onto the global fashion stage.
